We make every effort to ship orders as quickly as possible, usually within the same business day if the order is received before noon EST during a weekday. Our main mode of shipping is through the U.S. Postal Service. Most orders will arrive in 3-5 business days. We do also offer expedited shipping options through FedEx. Check our shipping information page for more details.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally. Orders to across the pond are dispatched within 1-2 working days and are sent using the postal service. Delivery times vary but most orders are received within 10 working days. Learn more about international orders.

Where do you ship your Beads, Sequins, Rhinestones, merchandise from?

All orders are shipped directly out of our shops located in the heart of New York City’s Garment District.

How do I track my order?

You should receive an email confirmation soon after your order has shipped which contains a delivery confirmation number for USPS orders or tracking number for FedEx. You can track your order with the number by going to www.usps.com (for standard shipping orders) or www.fedex.com (for FedEx orders). International orders shipped via Priority Mail International are non-trackable; only Express Mail orders are trackable.

I never received a shipping confirmation email? What happened?

Please check your Spam or Junk mail folder(s). Due to your individual spam settings, this email may have been misrouted to your junk mail folder. If you still have not received a confirmation please email [email protected].

Do you charge sales tax?

We do not charge sales tax on orders shipped outside of New York State. Orders shipped within New York State will be charged 8.875% sales tax. If you are tax-exempt and in New York, please contact us and we will assist you with placing your order.

What happens if something I ordered is out of stock?

We make every effort to keep our inventory up-to-date. However, since our products are both sold in our stores and online, some items may become out of stock or temporarily back-ordered. If we are ever out of stock of an item you’ve ordered, we will contact you right away to work with you on finding a suitable replacement or issue a refund for the item(s) before the order is shipped. For back-ordered items, you can choose to keep the order open and have it shipped to you when replenishment arrives.

What if I am looking a product that is not on your website?

We carry a vast selection of quality appliques, trimmings, and accessories, which include: sequins, beads, rhinestones, lace, and feathers, to name a few best-sellers. We are always adding new products to our in-store and online inventory. Check back often for new products. Email us at [email protected] if you’re looking for something specific.

I saw something in your store that is not on the website. Can I still order it?

Sure. Email a picture or description of the item(s) to us at [email protected] and we will help you with your order directly.

How do I cancel my online order?

Call us at (646) 450-8878 to cancel your order between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and we will do our best to assist you if your order has not left our shipment center. The shipping cutoff time is 12PM. We cannot cancel an order once it has left our store or warehouse.

Do you offer a quantity discount or wholesale pricing?

Yes, quantity discounts are available. We usually offer 10%-30% off of quantities of 12 pieces or 10 yards or more. If you’re interested in inquiring about additional discounts for production or wholesale (over 200 pieces or 100 yards) please email us at [email protected].

Do you offer secure online shopping?

You can shop at shinetrim.com online with confidence. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card and electronic check transactions for our customers.

The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card and electronic check processing networks (see an online payments diagram). The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:

  • 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.

What’s your return policy?

Due to the timely use of our products, we do not accept returns on most of our products including:

  • Trims or appliques that have been cut and/or altered in any way
  • Bridal accessories
  • Gloves
  • Custom orders

Exchanges for merchandise or store credit may be given but on a case-by-case basis. Shine Trim, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to evaluate inquiries for exchanges or store credit on a case-by-case basis.

Why doesn’t my coupon code work? Why does it say that I haven’t met the minimum order amount if I have?

There are some products that are excluded from coupon codes (mainly some rhinestone trims and appliques as well as beaded fringe). Our system will not alert you as to the specific product that is excluded, rather it will just show that the minimum amount has not been reached.

PRODUCT AND CARE INFORMATION

How do I attach your rhinestone trims and appliques to a garment?

We recommend that handstitching as the best way to attach trims directly onto a garment or ribbon or sash. However, using a good adhesive works well too. We recommend Fabric-Tac or Magna-Tac for gluing trims and appliques. For loose rhinestones and crystals, we use E-6000. These can be found at our shops, online or at your local crafts store; we do not sell them online due to shipping restrictions.

How do I create a bridal sash using your rhinestone beaded trim or applique?

Our rhinestone beaded trims are all made of premium quality rhinestones and beads, which are handsewn onto a sheer organza fabric that perfectly complements all light colored fabrics. Trims can be stitched directly on top of the ribbon, sash, or any fabric with needle and thread or glued with adhesive.

Are your products washable?

We recommend removal before cleaning (if possible) or dry cleaning for garments with products that contain beads, sequins, or rhinestones. However, some appliques may be very gently hand washed.

Do you offer samples?

Send us an email and tell us which trim(s) you’re interested in. We will try to accommodate sample requests as best we can. We may charge a small fee or ask that you purchase at least 1/4 yard as a sample. Also, we are happy to provide additional pictures or descriptions of our items if needed.

Do you do custom orders?

We sometimes fulfill custom orders for large quantities or for a specific color. A cost and time-effective solution to a custom order is to send us an email at [email protected] with the image of the item and/or description of what you are looking for. Chances are we have something very similar already in stock. We will work with you directly to find a comparable trim or applique.

RHINESTONE INFORMATION

Your rhinestone banding is so inexpensive. What’s the quality like?

Ask any of our customers who’ve purchased from us and they will tell you that the quality of our rhinestone banding is simply amazing. It’s premium quality, dazzling rhinestone.

What does your rhinestone banding look like?

Our rhinestone banding is composed of individual rhinestones (SS20) each encased in a pointed back metal setting which are attached to one another on a fabric mesh. They can be easily cut without falling apart and multiple strands can be spit apart. We carry clear and AB crystals set in silver or gold metal backing.

How much rhinestone banding to I need for my cake?

Rhinestone Banding for Round Cakes

Measure the diameter of each tier of your cake then multiply the sum by 3.14. Then divide by 36 to get the yardage needed.

For example:

Tier 1: 12 inches
Tier 2: 14 inches
Tier 3: 16 inches

Total: 42 inches x 3.14 = 131.88 inches / 36 (inches in one yard) = 3.66 yards.
Round up to 4 yards.

Rhinestone Banding for Square Cakes

Calculate perimeter in inches. Divide by 36 to get the yardage needed.

For example:

Tier 1: 6 inches
Tier 2: 10 inches
Tier 3: 14 inches

Total: 30 inches x 4 (all four sides) = 120 inches / 36 (inches in one yard) = 3.33 yards.
Round up to 4 yards.
